Technical Data Sheet of the Department of Social Sciences

The Department of Social Sciences is one of the new departments that emerged: it was created in 2000-2001 and, despite its modernity, has always been described as a continuous dynamic.

The Department of Social Sciences receives a new modern two-storey building and a ground floor with 30 rooms and 40 booths, informants, 30 meeting rooms for teachers and more than 10 furnished teachers' offices, equipped with computers and equipped with the Internet.

At the level of the administrative organization of the department, it is composed of the head of the department and two deputies, one in charge of pedagogy, the other after graduation, and the administrative staff comprising 30 agents, one entrusted to the Secretariat and the other to pedagogy and the last after.

The department also has a scientific committee headed by the chairman of the scientific committee, which is anxious to serve the scientific affairs of teachers (Trabasat, Training, Raskala, Scientific and Cultural Activities ...).

The section also includes the club (Khaldouniya Club), supervised by a group of students.

The supervision and supervision process includes 29 permanent professors in different categories and ranks, including: 04 higher education professors, 40 doctoral students and 21 assistant professors.

In addition, 50 non-permanent teachers cover subscales (foreign languages, economics, computer science, statistics).

Since the creation of the department, the number of open specialties continues to increase, after the specialty: social service (classical system), it was opened the specialty: sociology communication (classical system), after sociology education (classical system), and after the application of the LMD system new specialties and branches were opened.

In addition, new Master's degree proposals have been proposed in the Master, awaiting the approval of the Regional Committee, in addition to a human and social sciences laboratory project.

Head of Department:

Article 56 of Executive Decree No. 03-279 of 23 August 2003 defines the functions of the University as well as the rules governing its organization and work (amended and completed), the head of the department being responsible for the pedagogical conduct and departmental administration and exercising peaceful authority over the users under its responsibility.

According to the third paragraph of the same article, the head of the department is appointed for a period of three years among the permanent professors of higher rank, by decision of the minister in charge of the higher education on proposition of the dean of the faculty.
